Ways To Get Involved For Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Go PINK during the month of October! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Here are a few ways you can help to spread awareness, educate others, and make a difference in women’s lives who are currently battling breast cancer.
  1. Update your Facebook Profile Picture
Spread awareness about Breast Cancer Awareness month by sharing your support on Facebook! You can update your profile picture to spread awareness to your friends and family online!
  1. Wear PINK and share your photo on social media and use hashtags.
#BCA, #BreastCancer, #BreastCancerAwareness, #BreastCancerFighter, #Cancer #FightLikeAGirl, #MaleBreastCancer. #Pinktober
  1. Know the Facts
What are the key breast cancer statistics? What are the key symptoms of breast cancer in women AND men? Do your research and stay informed. Knowledge is power.
  1.  Make A Donation
With your donation, you can give a gift in honor of a survivor, loved one, and to help those who are still struggling with cancer. There are a number of charities who support breast cancer. Donations to their cause are so important in helping research, families of cancer patients, education, screenings and so much more.
  1. Volunteer
There are plenty of volunteer opportunities in your community. If there is a local 5k Run or Walk, volunteers are needed before and during race day. You can volunteer with a support group, organizations need office support with phone calls and mailings. If you have a friend or family member, you can help with driving them to appointments, cooking, running errands and if they have children, taking them to the park or movies. Remember, Breast Cancer happens all year, not just in October.
