CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center, established in 1865 by the Sisters of Charity, was the first organized healthcare facility in the New Mexico territory.
Located in Santa Fe, the 200-bed hospital operates under a 50/50 partnership with CHRISTUS Health and SVHsupport. CHRISTUS St. Vincent is proud to be celebrating its 150th anniversary of providing care and services to residents of Northern New Mexico. CHRISTUS St. Vincent is a comprehensive acute care hospital serving a seven-county area with a population of nearly 300,000.
Each year, more than 13,000 patients are admitted to the hospital, and more than 200,000 outpatient hospital encounters (includes physician practices) occur at CHRISTUS St. Vincent. More babies are born in birthing suites at CHRISTUS St. Vincent than anywhere else in Northern New Mexico, with nearly 1,300 newborns delivered at our hospital each year. Our birthing program provides 11 labor-delivery-recovery postpartum (LDRP) suites.
More than 8,900 surgical procedures are performed each year at CHRISTUS St. Vincent. Experiencing more than 52,000 patient visits every year, CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center has the second busiest emergency department in New Mexico. As one of only three trauma centers in the state, the ED provides high-level, quality, compassionate care in a wide range of specialties.
Excellent engagement, retention, and morale have earned CHRISTUS St. Vincent recognition as one of New Mexico’s ‘Best Places to Work’ by Albuquerque Business First. The annual awards recognize the highest scoring nominated companies based on anonymous workplace satisfaction surveys. In January of this year, CHRISTUS St. Vincent received a 5-star quality rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services – the highest quality rating awarded by the agency and the first in the hospital’s history. Much has led to this monumental achievement. www.christushealth.org/st-vincent

No adventure in New Mexico is complete until you have experienced our cuisine.
Unlike any other, it is a blend of flavors from Spanish and Native American cultures that has been perfected over the course of 400 years. At the center of it all is the New Mexican chile, in both red and green varieties, which is used in everything from enchiladas to ice cream. Whether you are looking for a dining experience that has received a James Beard award or an authentic dive off the beaten path, you will find it here.
New Mexico is well-known for its arts community. The state’s art museums feature everything from folk art to glass to sculpture to paintings by Georgia O’Keeffe. But there’s more to experience in New Mexico museums than art. Here, visitors can find something special in every county in the state. Parks, museums, fairs, festivals, and tours are held year-round across New Mexico. The Smokey Bear Historical Park in Capitan, the National Atomic Museum in Albuquerque, the Clovis Depot Model Train Museum and the War Eagles Museum in Santa Teresa are but a few of the choices. There really is a museum for just about every interest.
Another great way to experience New Mexico is through art festivals across the state. During the summer months, there’s a festival to be found somewhere in New Mexico every weekend. Local, regional and national artists bring their beautiful creations out of the studio for everybody to enjoy. Artist studio tours abound throughout the state—from Farmington to Silver City. These tours offer an opportunity for visitors to meet the artists and see first-hand how they create such masterpieces.
