Meet our Traveler of the Week Latoya Prescott

When did you become a nurse and why?

I started my nursing career in 2013. I thought of other career paths but my true desire and calling was to help and care for people and their families.

What made you go into travel nursing?

I chose travel nursing so that I can experience and learn different cultures and parts of the country that I would otherwise never visit. Traveling has opened up new opportunities, new friendships and made me more confident.

What has been your favorite location for travel nursing so far and why?

My favorite location for travel nursing is Atlanta, Georgia because there is a lot of places to see, great restaurants and downtown is so full of energy. The suburbs of Atlanta has so much to offer and is a nice break from the fast-paced city life.

What is your favorite thing about travel nursing (the experience, locations, training, etc.)?

My favorite thing about travel nursing is meeting other nurses and building long lasting friendships.

What advice can you give others who are interested in travel nursing?

The advice I will give others who are interested in travel nursing is to be open to learning new things and enjoy your travels along the way.
