Welcome to another edition of Behind the Scenes with Accountable, where we take a moment to spotlight the incredible people who help make our team special. Each feature offers a closer look at the individuals whose dedication keeps everything running smoothly. Today, we’re excited to introduce Miranda Holter, Recruiter Assistant, who has been part of the Accountable family since 2017.

Miranda’s journey with Accountable began at a truly unexpected time. While working as a data entry specialist for a collections company, she found herself wanting something more meaningful. Then, in a twist of fate, a tornado hit her office building (thankfully early on a Sunday morning when no one was there). With work paused for repairs, Miranda took the opportunity to explore new options, and that’s when Accountable reached out. She started in order entry, and with the rollout of a new system, transitioned into her current role as a Recruiter Assistant—a change that has allowed her to contribute in new and impactful ways.

Though Miranda hadn’t worked much in healthcare before, she brought with her a strong background in data entry and organization, along with a brief stint as a medical assistant in her twenties. What she enjoys most about her role now is helping travelers head off on their next adventure and being part of a team she truly values.

When she’s not working, Miranda and her husband, Matt, share a love of music. Married for 10 years, they can spend hours browsing record stores, antique malls, thrift shops, and pawn shops together. She also enjoys classic movies, musicals, photography, video games, and relaxing with their two dogs. Miranda is an avid reader, with Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury holding a special place in her heart for its powerful message about intellectual freedom. And for a fun fact: she earned her advanced open water scuba certification at just 16 years old, diving as deep as 75 feet.
