Let's meet Itzel Ordonez, our dedicated paralegal in the legal department, in a new chapter of our Accountable Behind the Scenes initiative. Itzel has been with Accountable for four months, motivated by the opportunity to explore new areas of law and shift her career path.

Itzel's role involves vendor contract reviews, subpoena processing, managing nursing pool and business licenses, and state quarterly reporting. She also assists with litigation and legal research, supporting our General Counsel on special projects.

Graduating from Florida Atlantic University with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology, Itzel is now pursuing her Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She began her career as a paralegal for a private immigration attorney, then moved to the Florida Attorney General's Office in the Consumer Protection Division as head paralegal. Her passion for the field led her to earn a paralegal studies certificate.

Outside of work, Itzel enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, kayaking, biking, and camping. She loves attending concerts and music festivals, such as the Electric Daisy Carnival in Orlando. Her favorites activities include competitive karaoke, shopping, beach outings, and spending time with friends.

Itzel recently became a proud mother to a Yorkshire Terrier named Mickey Erazo. Her favorite movies are "Howl's Moving Castle" and "The Lake House," and she's a Marvel movie enthusiast. She enjoys building LEGOs, playing video games, and playing the guitar.
