UNA Health Inc. and Accountable Healthcare Staffing to Publish Free Training Module on COVID-19

As virus continues to spread, the primary focus for nurses and other healthcare personnel is on education and prevention.

As COVID-19 continues to dominate every major news headline across the United States, UNA Health Inc. – a leading provider of mobile recruitment solutions for hospitals and healthcare staffing firms is pleased to announce the release of a coronavirus training course developed specifically for nurses and other healthcare personnel, which was supported and advised by Accountable Healthcare Staffing, a distinguished market leader in the healthcare staffing industry. The material focuses on the most important aspects surrounding COVID-19, including how it affects patient care and individual health. It is available as a free download to healthcare staffing agencies nationwide here:  https://www.myuna.app/covid-19

Typically, UNA's annual competencies are only available through the company's online platform. Given the sensitive nature of the pandemic that has gripped the nation, however, UNA's management team felt that making it publicly available to all healthcare personnel was in the best interests of the industry – and country – as a whole.

"There is a lot of misinformation circulating around right now about COVID-19, including how it spreads, the severity of illness it causes, and to what extent it may spread in the United States," stated Ron Gonzalez, UNA's President and CEO and former CEO of Prophecy Healthcare. "Our goal was to utilize all of the resources at our disposal, including expertise from medical professionals with decades of experience, to put together a course for those who don't have access to current data that will help their healthcare personnel understand the exposure risk."

Included in the course is specific insight regarding symptoms and treatment, as well as preventative measures and CDC recommendations for infection prevention and control (IPC). In addition to this baseline material, there's also a post-test to ensure healthcare personnel fully understand the core foundational basics of coronaviruses, and COVID-19 in particular.

"Healthcare personnel are on the front lines when caring for patients with confirmed or possible infection with COVID-19, and therefore have an increased risk of exposure," added Merry Fort, Executive Vice President of Clinical Services at Accountable. "Since this is a new disease and there are still so many unknowns, our best defense is education, coupled with preventive measures, to help keep this critical group of individuals safe."
