Payroll Manager / Healthcare Staffing

The Payroll Manager performs and oversees all activities to process daily/ weekly payrolls in multiple states, ensuring timely and accurate processing and customer service. Ensures billing

information to clients are accurate by reviewing, correcting and approving based on hours worked by Healthcare Professionals and client agreements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of daily/ weekly payroll; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets.
  • Computes wage and overtime payments; records payroll deductions, reimbursements, and stipends. Ensures accuracy and efficiency of payrolls, level of customer services, data integrity, and calculating special payments.
  • Create wage reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, and nontaxable wages.
  • Responds to payroll and billing questions from HCP's and/ or clients in a timely manner. Follow up to verify corrections or adjustments.
  • Performs routine audits of payroll and billing. Research, track and correct errors or documentation problems and discrepancies.
  • Interprets and implements company policies and government regulations affecting payroll procedures.
  • Maintains internal security by following internal controls and protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Completes Compliance and Credentialing duties as assigned.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Responsible for aging reports and approving write-offs.
  • Responsible for ordering office supplies, postage and other office management duties.
  • Other duties as may be assigned based on business needs or management's request.

Experience, Competencies and Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Administration or similar discipline, or relevant experience required.
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience in managing goals through collaboration and teamwork while meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of Payroll databases, Ceridian/ Dayforce, StafferLink experience highly preferred.
  • General ledger software packages, Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Payroll. Bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
  • Excellent problem solving/ judgment and analytical skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
